Ligne de crête

label
Ligne de crête is an experimental music label that explores how music is constructed in and through spaces. Whether through in-situ sound recording or the use of digital tools for spatial manipulation, the music released by the label draws its character from the experience of listening and the multiple dimensions that shape it. Ligne de crête was founded by Armand Lesecq and Stéphane Clor, who pursue these explorations in their own work. They have since been joined by Elisa Ostertag and Léa Chemarin, visual artists and graphic designers, who create the label’s physical objects so that they reflect the musical colors through a visual and tactile gesture.

Postnature work

A cycle of artistic research and creative practice exploring post-natural ecology.
We live in a hybridized world in which human activity has irreversibly reshaped our ecosystems. Whether through chemical pollution or technology, the very notion of Nature has now become, at best, a myth and, at worst, a greenwashing marketing argument that prevents us from thinking about the future of our world in the Anthropocene era.
This research rejects the idea of purity and naturalness (essentialism), arguing that there is no clear boundary between what belongs to “nature” and what belongs to “culture,” nor that this oppositional framework can be considered universal. On the contrary, it imposes a historically Western vision of the environment. I am interested in forms of interaction, or “intra-action” (Barad), as well as in the systems of coexistence that today connect all living and non-living entities on the planet. I also focus on human traces, marked at different scales, from the micro to the macro, sometimes invisible yet omnipresent, which shape our bodies and minds. Several contemporary ecological thinkers have informed this work, including Timothy Morton, Karen Barad, Bruno Latour, Anna Lowenhaupt-Tsing, Juliette Volcler ou encore Murray Bookchin. They invite us to rethink our relationship with ecology through its dimensions of strangeness, entanglement, precarity, and collaboration.
This led to the beginning of a cycle of transdisciplinary creations involving a strong sonic dimension (composition, sound installation, field recording, radio art), while also drawing on other media such as cartography, analogue photography, drawing, and computer programming. I sought to explore the relationships we weave with our environment: buried fears, invisible connections, the idealization of progress, the ruins of the post-capitalist world, as well as listening and perception in their social and political dimensions.

Hiatus

artistic project with individuals under judicial supervision in the Grand Est region – by Stéphane Clor and Eli FinbergThe Hiatus (2022-2023), was led by Eli Finberg and Stéphane Clor at the Mulhouse-Lutterbach penal center and the Ensisheim detention center. These participatory workshops allowed participants to develop their own texts and then shape them into musical compositions, drawing from various forms of rap, slam, and experimental music.
It took place over two weeks in March 2022 at the Mulhouse-Lutterbach penal center and was supported by the METEO festival. A second session followed in February 2023. Both projects resulted in the production of a record, which was later gifted to the participants.

CC - Compilations Confinées 

compilations created during lockdown During each week of the first COVID-19 lockdown, Dreieck Interferences produced a compilation of original musical creations made remotely by various sound artists from the Grand Est region and beyond. Based on a weekly theme, the pieces were created, exchanged, mixed online, and gathered into a new release every weekend.
Over 80 artists participated, creating no fewer than 140 original compositions in a wide range of genres, including songwriting, noise music, jazz, contemporary music, musique concrète, free improvisation, rock, hip-hop, techno, and traditional music, among others.
This project was supported by the Météo Festival, and its final installment (the "Ensemble" compilation) was released as a screen-printed cassette tape by the ÖDL collective in Mulhouse.

DIE : Dreieck Interférences Ensemble 

modular orchestra  The Dreieck Interférences Ensemble (DIE) is a variable-geometry orchestra and the founding project of the Dreieck Interférences association. Its purpose is to experiment with music within a large ensemble, exploring forms of collective composition and improvisation. It brings together musicians from diverse musical backgrounds, most of whom are based in eastern France.
